Jacob’s Story

My mother moved to the U.S. from Peru when she was just 18 years old. I’ve always admired her bravery — leaving her country to build a new life, going to college here in Utah, and falling in love with my dad. Together, they raised six kids in California.

Some of my earliest memories are singing at my home church to the sweet grandmas and grandpas in the pews. That’s where I first saw how music could soften a heart, lift a spirit, and create connection across generations.

Now, I’m a father myself — to two incredible boys, with a daughter on the way. Family means everything to me. It’s why I do this work with such care and commitment. Every day I get to help another family feel seen, supported, or surrounded by love... that’s a gift I don’t take for granted.

I lost my mother when I was 33. Her passing changed everything, and I’d love to share more of that story with you in private.

I don’t believe she’s gone. Her body is. But her love, her presence — it’s still with me. That’s what gives me confidence in this work. I truly believe that death isn’t the end. And I want to help others feel that too.

That truth fuels this work.

That’s why I do this. I help people feel peace in their final days. I help them let go with love. And when families want it, I’ll be there right to the end — holding a hand, singing a song, or just being present. No one should have to walk that path alone.

Whatever it takes for a soul to feel safe, seen, and loved at the threshold. That’s why I’m here.

An ornate iron gate with intricate designs stands as the focal point. The words 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord' are engraved along the circular arch of the gate. A black ribbon is tied to the center, just above the year '1862,' adding a solemn touch. The background reveals a cobblestone pathway leading into a cemetery surrounded by tall, dense trees.
